Anecoop is celebrating its 40th anniversary

Anecoop is one of the largest and most important international companies: the number one fruit and vegetable company in the Mediterranean; the first exporter and second marketer of citrus fruit in the world and the first watermelon and persimmon operator in Europe.
Over 1,200 farmer associates will celebrate the company’s growth, the Spanish leader in fruit and vegetable marketing, during 4 days that will be held in May in Valencia, Murcia, Almeria and Seville, representing the 30,000 farmers that make up the cooperative.
The figures endorse the current situation of the second degree cooperative with head offices in Valencia. Over forty commercial campaigns Anecoop has marketed 9 million tonnes of citrus fruits; 4 million tonnes of fruit; 2.5 million tonnes of vegetables and 4.3 millions of hectolitres of wine, which mean around 16 million products from its farmer associates.
It represents a unique company model in Europe, both due to its size and due to its internationalisation volume. The raw materials (fresh fruit and vegetables, and wine) marketed by Anecoop mainly come from the Valencian Community, Andalusia, Murcia, Extremadura, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Navarra and Aragon.
It is made up of companies with activities that range from research for variety improvement to produce delivery at the point of sale. It is made up of a commercial structure of nine international companies, with four branches in Spain (Valencia, Almeria, Murcia and Seville).
Its commercial network is located at strategic points of the international fresh fruit and vegetable market: Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Holland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Russia and China. The marketing of wines is aimed at the latter country, with a favourable evolution of all the subsidiaries on their respective markets and equally positive economic results in spite of the complicated international situation.
The results confirm the growth of the Anecoop Group, which obtained an annual average invoicing of 750 million euros with its fruit and vegetable and wine offer, with its first destination being France, followed by Germany and Spain.
