The Karamel range is growing

Keops Agro has added two new references to its gourmet tomato line

The ecological production company Keops Agro is renewing its tomato offer. This time, the latest products that have become part of its offer belong to the Karamel line, with two new gourmet references: Karamel Rome and Karamel Cerise. The former is a vine plum cherry tomato that has become its “star in terms of flavour” thanks to a high level of Brix (between 9-12 degrees). The latter, Cerise, is a round cherry tomato, but it differentiates from Rome due to its more acidic flavour, “ideal for meat dishes”, Francisco Javier del Águila qualifies.

But these are not the only new developments. Now, the company’s customers will also have a 100% bio, spicy red pepper available to them. In addition, they have loose, vine, and Karamel Heart cocktail tomatoes, oranges and clementines and they are increasing their cucumber crops.

All of these are produced following the 360º Eco system, unique throughout the world, based on the “self-sufficiency of the inputs necessary for vegetable nutrition and health.” They have been implementing it for almost two decades now and have become an example of sustainability. The company produces the cereal that feeds its horses, from which the bio-nutrients and bio-fertilizers needed for the correct development of the crops are obtained. But not only this, its R&D team is studying the organisms present in their crops, aimed at stimulating them to prevent the proliferation of diseases through the development of nutritional epigenetics using Epigen Technology.

As a result of these studies, the company from Almeria is marketing a line of 100% natural products through its subsidiary Viagro in order to obtain the maximum efficiency in bio crops. Amongst them are Leva (a stimulator of the natural defence mechanisms based on fructose) and Fertinatura, which is highly effective for nutrition, both for eco and conventional crops, on farms with salinity problems.
