The main features of Kanzi’s production are a harvest that shows a considerable increase compared to the previous one and a correct quality due to the mild summer weather
According to sources from the organisation GKE, owner of the brand Kanzi, the harvest in Italy alone will reach 17,500 tonnes, a healthy figure in terms of how to deal with the demand. Of this volume, around 1,000 tonnes correspond to biological produce.
The Italian consortiums VI.P and VOG started marketing the produce at the end of September. Gerard Dichgangs, manager of the VOG Consortium indicated that “we already observed some important market expectations at the start of the campaign, and it is a situation that we would like to boost on markets such as the Spanish one, which is highly receptive to Kanzi. We intend to reach consumers through events and tastings.” The other managing cooperative of the brand (VI.P), Josef Wielander, confirmed that “our target includes increasing the public that loves this apple and consolidating its brand both on the Italian and on the Spanish markets.”
The initiative ‘Kanzi Coins’ has been started up, which will offer one hundred Sony XB21 Bluetooth loudspeakers as prizes. It is very easy to participate: you just have to buy Kanzi apples, which are marked by the Kanzi Coins label. Behind each label there is a code that must be introduced on the website www.kanzicoins.com to find out immediately if you have won any of the prizes. In addition to this competition, there is also a free app that allows all consumers to follow the codes introduced and to be kept informed about new promotional initiatives.
Both consortiums of the Alto Adige underscore the fact that, alongside GKE, there will be many new developments that will be organised to reveal the goodness of this apple, using the slogan “Seducing life”.
