Spanish cucumber exports reached 397.58 million kilos between January and June 2026, the highest volume ever recorded for a first half of the year, according to a report by Hortoinfo based on data from Estacom (ICEX-Tax Agency).
This volume represents a 24.9% increase compared with the first half of 2017, when Spanish exports stood at 319.88 million kilos.
Growth in export value has been even more significant. Spain generated €698.48 million from cucumber exports during the first six months of the year, with an average price of €1.76/kg.
In 2017, export turnover amounted to €324.53 million, with an average price of €1.01/kg, meaning the value of exports has increased by 115.23% over the last decade.
Almería exceeds €500 million in export value
Almería’s leadership is particularly notable. The province exported 293.24 million kilos of cucumber, generating revenues of €508.54 million, with an average price of €1.73/kg.
Compared with the same period in 2017, Almería’s cucumber exports have grown by 24.88%, consolidating the province as Spain’s main origin for this product in international markets.
Granada ranks second, although at a considerable distance, with 29.84 million kilos exported, representing 7.5% of Spain’s total volume. These shipments generated €51.87 million, with an average price of €1.74/kg.
Valencia achieves the highest average price
Valencia occupies third place in terms of export volume, with 18.81 million kilos shipped abroad during the first half of the year.
However, the province recorded the highest average price among the four main exporting regions, reaching €2.14/kg. Its cucumber exports have increased by 20.31% compared with 2017.
Murcia completes the ranking, with 16 million kilos exported and an average price of €1.47/kg.

The region stands out for recording the strongest relative growth, with exports increasing by 155.27% compared with the first half of 2017, when shipments amounted to only 6.27 million kilos.
A record year for Spanish cucumber exports
The first-half figures for 2026 confirm a new export record for Spanish cucumber, with Almería accounting for almost three out of every four kilos shipped abroad and maintaining a dominant position within Spain’s national supply.
