According to the Chilean Fruit Table Grape Committee, part of Frutas de Chile, the estimate is based on a survey conducted among member companies representing approximately 80% of the total export volume in the affected regions. The assessment focused on the impact of rainfall recorded between 16 and 22 March, marking the fifth significant weather event of the season.
The analysis indicates that the adverse weather conditions will reduce the total volume of exportable grapes by approximately 5 million boxes (8.2 kg each). As a result, total exports for the 2025–26 season are now projected to reach 57.4 million boxes.

Despite the reduction in volume, the industry remains committed to maintaining high quality standards. The Chilean table grape sector emphasised that only fruit meeting strict quality requirements will be shipped to international markets.
Producers and exporters continue to work closely to ensure that supply chains remain stable and that export markets receive consistent, high-quality product, despite the challenges posed by the recent weather events.
