“Peru expects a 15% decrease in mango production in this new season”

This year’s Peruvian mango season is unfolding differently from last year’s. After record export volumes, the irregular new flowering is expected to reduce overall production by about 15%, Iván Vílchez, president of the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (APEM), stated. “We anticipate reduced yields, but the fruit will be of good quality and calibers that might support higher prices per box,” he said
