Applying and enforcing EU water legislation more effectively is essential to ensure water security and resilience in the EU, in line with the Water Resilience Strategy and the EU’s broader resilience agenda.
In the context of this resilience agenda, and as announced in the RESourceEU Action Plan, the Commission is stepping up its efforts to secure the supply of critical raw materials to the EU, in order to protect industry and supply chains from geopolitical and price disruptions.

Based on input and experience from stakeholders across Member States, the Commission is publishing this call for evidence to examine how to promote circularity and access to critical raw materials in the EU, while safeguarding the environment and human health.
