Cultipalta, Cultivar’s new subsidiary, is born

6 August, 2020

A new company, Cultipalta, 100% subsidiary of Cultivar, is taking over the avocado and mango lines from the first quarter of 2020

Avocados and mangos are two of the products with in which the Catalan company has become a great specialist in recent years.

The Cultipalta project has a warehouse that has adapted ripening rooms, fitted with the latest technology, as well as machinery with external and internal quality sensors for fruit selection. These processes guarantee a product without any internal disorders and always at their optimum point of ripeness.

As a catalyst for this new business plan, the company will add a new warehouse space that will be built out over the next few months and that will contribute to an improvement in the company’s activity. The building, which has three storeys, will have 2,600 m² per floor and it will be exclusively used for the new company’s expansion plans.

Both avocados and mangos are marketed all year long, with national produce thanks to the partnership with a company from Malaga or with imported produce from any part of the world: Kenya, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Senegal, etc. This is not surprising, with over 40 years in the import business endorsed by the parent company, Cultivar.

According to statements made by the executive Sandra Sitjar, “the end goal involves managing both avocados and mangos in a highly specialised way and offering a product with the best appearance and flavour to satisfy the most demanding consumers and to continue boosting the development of our brand, Exótica Premium, a synonym for quality.”
