On its stand at Fruit Attraction it is devoting a corner to its organic catalogue and is presenting Vanilla Squash, a new ‘eco’ vanilla-coloured courgette
On the 5th of October at the Premiere RZ event, held in the Science and Technology Park of Almeria, Rijk Zwaan exclusively advanced the new developments that it is taking to this edition of Fruit Attraction. For this event, which was attended by the main agents from the agrifood sector, Marius Robles, co-founder of ReIMAGINE FOOD participated and made the speech “Decoding the future of food: 25 concepts, innovations, startups and technologies that are going to change how we look at food and farming.” The seed company took note of these trends that are already on the horizon to be able to implement them. And the fact is that the company is always eager to go a step further and to offer produce that is out of the ordinary, providing a high differential value, something that they achieve using R&D+i. Proof of this is the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award that it received for its Knox feature, unique on the market, which provides greater shelf life for the leaves in the processed salad bags, keeping them fresher for longer. This year they are extending the range with typologies such as iceberg for processing and Knox Core for First Range produce.
On its stand in Madrid, the company is devoting a complete corner to its ecological offer, with Sweet Palermo Organic, My Cubies Organic and Vanilla Squash. This last product means their penetration in this niche (eco courgette), and it stands out due to its vanilla colour, which is easy to recognise.
This year’s new development in My Cubies is also worth mentioning, with the brand restyling that they presented this summer and a new packaging, the 250g bag. In order to promote this mini cucumber snack, they developed ‘The Natural Day’ campaign, which they will continue to promote at the fair.
In its pepper range, they are promoting Sweet Palermo Bicolor with the raffle of a trip to Palermo that will be drawn at Fruit Attraction. Visitors may participate, taste and discover the virtues of Sweet Palermo on a score of stands belonging to Rijk Zwaan’s partners.
Continuing along the lines started last year, they continue promoting Green Tense, a sweet flavoured, dark-coloured green bean, which is bringing a breath of fresh air to the segment. And the official launch of the snack lettuce, ‘Snack Crunchy Cos’ also stands out, a small-leafed lettuce concept that brings great added value to the catering sector as it is very crunchy, tasty and consistent, being used as a base or ‘spoon’ for food (hot or cold). The new commercial container may be seen, homogeneous for all the companies, on the stand of Sun&Vegs by Agromediterránea (5C01), El Dulze (10C05), Primaflor (9E01), and Rijk Zwaan (9D10).
