LIDA Plant Research, a company specialised in the research and development of innovative solutions for agriculture, is recalling one of the most important milestones in its scientific journey: the granting of its international patent for synergistic mixtures of plant defence response inducers. This technology is designed to amplify alarm signals, known as the priming effect, in plants in order to maximise their innate immunity against different biotic stress situations.

Patent characteristics

The patent scientifically validates the discovery of different compounds, one of which is an elicitor of pattern-triggered innate immunity, while the other is an inducer of systemic resistance that enhances plant defence mechanisms, particularly through a synergistic effect.

This makes it possible to amplify alarm signals in the plant compared with the individual application of these compounds, generating a stronger defence response.

Current innovation projects

LIDA Plant Research continues to advance new lines of research aimed at promoting more sustainable and efficient agriculture, helping growers export to the most demanding markets.

Among its most recent projects is BIOFORCE Technology, which combines defence elicitors with microorganisms. The company is also carrying out studies on its products Activane and Relliance, linked to the cellular detoxification capacity of plants and focused on the degradation of chemical residues and the reduction of Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) in crops.

Through this commitment to scientific innovation and technology transfer, LIDA Plant Research reaffirms its dedication to developing sustainable agricultural solutions capable of responding to the current and future challenges of the global agri-food sector.
